STACKX Cybersecurity 2025
As we move into 2025 and beyond, the cyber threat landscape is becoming increasingly volatile, driven by rising geopolitical tensions, trade conflicts, and AI-powered threat actors. Nation states are expanding their cyber operations and targeting critical infrastructure, corporate networks, and public information channels with greater stealth and impunity. Chinese APTs continue to escalate their campaigns despite exposure, using large-scale anonymization networks for deniability. To stay ahead, organizations must adopt proactive threat intelligence, automated incident response, and zero-trust architectures to withstand this evolving cyber battlefield.
Mr Jonathan LUFF
Chief of Staff/ Chief of Global Affairs, Recorded FutureThe cybercriminal underground has evolved from scattered individuals into sophisticated enterprises, rivalling legitimate businesses in their organisation and innovation. We'll explore the intricate ecosystem of cybercrime, from initial access brokers to ransomware affiliates, examining how these criminal enterprises operate, scale, and monetise their activities.
Dr Neal JETTON
Cybercrime Director, INTERPOLInnovation and seizing the opportunities of AI and other disruptive technologies require openness and building on a global tech stack. Yet geopolitical tensions and outright warfare are leading many countries to raise the barricades of digital sovereignty.
Mr Luukas ILVES
Non-resident fellow, International Centre for Defence and SecurityAdvisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Digital Transformation of UkraineFormer Government Chief Information Officer, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of EstoniaNational cybersecurity challenges require a whole-of-nation response across the three pillars of operations, policy and technology. Central to these are the efforts to evolve national cybersecurity operational frameworks and develop national-level cybersecurity capabilities. Correspondingly, policy and regulatory levers should give us the assurance in enabling our national cyber defence concept of operations. We will need to harness the strengths of various parts of the cybersecurity ecosystem to push the boundaries of research, innovation, and workforce professionalisation. To this end, governmental agencies should play the role of a “steady hand” in shaping and guiding the trajectory of our cybersecurity ecosystem to meet national security needs. Lastly, we must also invest in regional and global partnerships to stay ahead in this fast-evolving field of cybersecurity.

Join us as we explore how AI is revolutionising cybersecurity and redefining the future of digital defense.
Mr Pawan KINGER
Director, Threat Research, Trend Micro Inc.Resilient systems must tolerate disruptions and automatically recover from more severe events. System failures of commonly used public services can lead to significant impact and cause lower confidence in the institution's ability to deliver. From an AWS study of over 200 large scale enterprises, we learned that cloud security and resiliency readiness have not been thoroughly validated. Load-balancing and ad-hoc load performance testing are not enough.

Mr Henry ONG
Senior Sales Engineering Manager, APJ, TenableModern Security Operations Centers (SOCs) face a formidable set of challenges that render traditional security approaches increasingly ineffective. The complexity and heterogeneity of their tool stacks create operational friction, while the sheer volume of alerts leads to debilitating "alert fatigue" among analysts. Compounding these issues is a persistent talent shortage, leaving SOCs understaffed and struggling to keep pace with the ever-evolving sophistication of cyber attackers. These combined pressures demonstrate that the legacy methods of securing organisations are no longer sufficient, necessitating a comprehensive modernisation of the SOC to effectively address today's dynamic threat landscape.
